In a new social media video, the Today show star tested out his acting chops by trying his hand at a scene from the hit 2003-released Christmas movie, Elf.
The social media clip—which was filmed between takes on set of the news broadcast program, and uploaded in a joint post to both the official accounts of Today and Melvin on Tuesday, Dec. 17—featured the broadcaster along with stage manager, Yosef Herzog.
"Craig is REALLY bringing the Christmas cheer. ??," the video was captioned.

"10/10 casting of @yoyosafe," one noted of Herzog's inclusion, while another declared, "This just made my day… maybe my whole week. @yoyosafe @craigmelvinnbc."
Someone else even admitted they're watching "this on repeat?," with an additional Instagram user insisting the duo totally "Nailed it??."
Meanwhile, one Today viewer focused on the upcoming show changes, adding, "I didn’t know how I felt about him replacing Hoda. After a few weeks he had warmed up. So fun. Love him!"
