Damascus, SANA- The Philippine Embassy in Damascus held on Saturday reception ceremony on the occasion of the 75th anniversary for establishing diplomatic relations with Syria at Four Seasons Hotel in Damascus. Delivering a speech, Deputy Foreign and Expatriates Minister Bashar al-Jaafari affirmed the deep-rooted friendly relations binding the two countries, as Syria was among the first five countries that recognized the independence of the Philippine in 1946, which reflects its keenness and principled position in supporting the independence, freedom and sovereignty of all countries.
