An Abductee Dies in a Houthi-run Prison

Republican Yemen An abductee named Mohsen Mohammed Alqadi is reported to have been killed inside a Houthi-run prison in Dhamar province, central Yemen. According to local sources, the 28-year victim was arbitrarily detained for a year and a half without his family knowing about his whereabouts. In a statement, Sam for Rights and Liberties called for an investigation into the killing of Alqadi, noting that abductees are subject to inhumane treatment inside Houthi-run prisons. The Geneva-based rights group said this is the 9th death case to be documented this year in Houthi-run prisons, bringing up the total of 214 deaths behind Houthi bars since 2014 when the Iran-backed Houthi militia storme
