New York City is increasingly becoming a sex trafficking destination. Tina Frundt is the founder and CEO of Courtney’s House, a Washington, D.C.-based organization that provides comprehensive services to underage sex trafficking survivors. She has shared that she is seeing a spike in trafficking victims being shuttled from D.C. to the Big Apple. Tina’s observations are consistent with the bleak reality of New York City in 2021. From Hunts Point to East New York, men with disposable income are purchasing women, girls and LGBTQ+ youth for sex on the city streets with complete impunity.
