Sharjah: The Sharjah Police General Command has launched an electronic awareness campaign titled 'Beware of the dangers of electronic extortion', which will continue for a month. The campaign aims to raise awareness among community members about the danger of electronic extortion and enhance safety and security among community members. Colonel Omar Ahmad Abu Al Zoud, director of the Criminal Investigation Department at Sharjah Police, said that the campaign aims to educate all segments of society and inform them of the risks that they may face if they are exposed to electronic blackmail, and urged them to be cautious when dealing with strangers or unknown people via social networks.
