Professional tennis players with low rankings have called on tennis bosses to provide them with financial help during the coronavirus pandemic which has left them without income after all competitions were stopped. More than 700 players have signed an online petition launched by Georgian athlete Sofia Shapatava who said that the abrupt shutdown put many players on the verge of bankruptcy.
