Odisha To Set Up Second COVID Hospital in VIMSAR

Odisha will set up an additional COVID hospital at the Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (VIMSAR) in Burla. The 300-bedded hospital is expected to be ready in the next 10 days, Chief Secretary Suresh Chandra Mohapatra informed on Wednesday. The decision has been taken as COVID infections have surged in the neighbouring states of Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh. The second COVID Hospital in VIMSAR will have a total of 250 general beds with oxygen facilities and 50 ICUs. Earlier, Chief Secretary and Addl Chief Secretary Health PK Mohapatra along with other senior officials had visited the Western districts to review the COVID-19 situation. The post Od
