Republican Yemen Over 8000 Yemeni civilians have been killed due to landmines laid by the Iran-backed Houthi militia, Director of the National Mine Action Program (NMAP) Brigadier Ameen Al-Aqeeli said. Since the outbreak of the war in Yemen, more than 8000 civilians, including children and women, have been killed due to Houthi-laid mines, Al-Aqeeli told government-owned Saba Net news agency. According to Al-Aqeeli 61 demining workers of NMAP have been killed while dismantling mines and explosive devices in different Yemeni provinces. He addd that 5 international demining experts working for Masam, the Saudi Project for Mine Clearance in Yemen, were also killed while on duty. Brigadier Al-Aqe
