South Lake Tahoe, CA…Last Night, South Lake Tahoe Police were involved in an hours-long standoff in the 3700 block of Alder Ave. The suspect, 55-year-old Scott Nevin, drove up from Santa Cruz County after a search warrant was executed on his home by the Santa Cruz County Sheriffs Office. Inside, law enforcement found 43 weapons, high capacity magazines, and tactical vests with Washoe County Sheriff’s Office patches on them. Nevin was out on bail on 50 felony charges. He also had numerous warrants for his arrest for charges including domestic violence, felony threats, intimidating witnesses and had been known to threaten to kill law enforcement.
