A Madagascar, « l’opération sourire » de Médecins du Monde n’a jamais aussi bien porté son nom. Toute cette semaine, ce sont 24 enfants qui vont bénéficier d’une chirurgie 100% gratuite pour réparer leur bec de lièvre, cette malformation lourdement handicapante de la lèvre et parfois du palais. Une opération prévue depuis 18 mois pour la plupart, mais qui, Covid oblige, avait été reportée. Les familles sont parfois venues de très loin, toutes fébriles et impatientes de pouvoir offrir à leur enfant un nouveau visage. Rencontre.
