Kamel El-Wazir, the Egyptian Minister of Transport, announced that the third phase of the Cairo Metro Line III has reached a completion rate of 49%. The total cost of the third phase, which has a length of 17.7 km is estimated at $2.6 billion, according to the minister. The third phase of the metro line comprises of 15 stations, and is being built by a joint venture of Dubai- and Egypt-listed Orascom Construction and Arab Contractors Company, respectively.
