Shubman Gill's India started the proceedings of Day 3 of the Edgbaston Test with a blaster from pacer Mohammed Siraj. Siraj dismissed Joe Root and English skipper Ben Stokes on consecutive balls and sent half of the England team back to the dugout with less than 100 on the board.
However, ever since the arrival of Jamie Smith on the pitch, he has changed the course of the game. England are now on the charge as Harry Brook and Jamie Smith are beating the crap out of the Indian pacers.
The only possibility of a wicket was created when Ravindra Jadeja bowled to Harry Brook, and he edged a quicker ball to the first slip.

Indian skipper Shubman Gill expanded the field, with only he himself in the slip cordon. Harry Brook, the aggressive English batter, looked to cut a quicker ball from Jadeja and, in an attempt to do so, edged it to the player at first slip.
But the ball seemingly travelled quickly, and also Gill at first slip didn't have the reflexes to hold on to it. However, Gill not only missed an opportunity, but he was also hit by the ball on his head, as a result of which he immediately fell, rolling on the ground.
