Shubman Gill, the newly announced skipper for the Indian Test side, has received appreciation for his splendid innings of 269 at Birmingham.
He has been a recipient of widespread fame; however, this time around, it's Bhawna Kohli, star cricketer Virat Kohli's sister, who has come forward in praise of the Indian youngster.
Shubman Gill made a huge impact in the Indian batting order in the second Test at Edgbaston; however, he received immense support from the Indian lower-order all-rounders, Ravindra Jadeja and Washington Sundar.
He ended Day 1 with a stunning hundred and later backed it with his maiden double-hundred in test cricket. Gill batted for almost the entire length of the Indian batting innings since his arrival at no. 4. In his innings, he took India to 587, while he himself broke several records of superstar Indian players.
After the stellar innings, several cricket fanatics and even legends of the game have gone gaga over the iconic innings played by the batter, who is cited as the future of Indian cricket.
Meanwhile, Virat Kohli's sister Bhawna Kohli Dhingra has also specially mentioned the skipper's innings and praised it open-heartedly on her Instagram story.
While mentioning Shubman Gill's old video, she wrote, 'The attitude is inborn and perseverance follows.'

Shubman Gill has entered the list of Indian batters for most runs on English soil, as he has joined Sunil Gavaskar and Rahul Dravid in the list of Indian batters to have scored a double century in England.
Other than this record, he also went past the great Sachin Tendulkar's record of 241* at the Sydney Cricket Ground back in 2004 for scoring the most runs by an Indian batter outside Asia in a Test match.
Shubman Gill surpassed Virat Kohli for the record of most runs by an Indian test captain, as the former skipper, who had 254*, was beaten by Gill's 269. He is also the second-youngest Indian Test skipper to achieve a brilliant double-hundred, only behind Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi's 203* at the age of 23 years in 1964.
Mohammed Siraj's early double-strike on Day 3 of the Edgbaston Test
India, after their stellar batting performance, bowled well with the new ball late on Day 2 of the Birmingham test. This marked the fall of three top-order wickets for England as they were reduced to 25/3.
Joe Root and Harry Brook showed some resistance in the last hour of play, while Mohammed Siraj, who took the new ball on Day 3, struck early to dismiss Joe Root for 22 runs. England skipper Ben Stokes was dismissed off the very next delivery for a golden duck by Siraj.
With 5 wickets down, England started scoring runs quickly as Harry Brook and Jamie Smith took charge of the Indian innings and smashed Akash Deep and Siraj for runs.
