Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Administrative Service (OAS) and Odisha Revenue Service (ORS) began an indefinite mass leave on Tuesday to protest the assault on Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) Additional Commissioner Ratnakar Sahoo on June 30.
The protest covers all the districts of the state.
It has been decided Tuesday evening in a special meeting at OASA Bhawan that the strike will continue till the main culprit Jaga Pradhan is arrested under non bailable offences.
So all OAS officers all over the state to stay on leave. Strict action against those responsible for the attack and have vowed to continue the strike until visible measures are taken.
Despite assurances from Chief Minister Mohan Majhi during a meeting with the OAS Association, the officers proceeded with the mass leave.
Meanwhile, the Commissionerate Police arrested two more individuals linked to the incident.
The attack on the BMC official has triggered widespread anger among bureaucrats, raising concerns about administrative security, political interference, and law enforcement responsiveness.
