(PINPOINT WEATHER) -- Tuesday starts off warm and quiet as winds continue to flow out of the south between 5 and 10 miles per hour. We’ll sit in the mid to upper 70s with partly cloudy skies on deck and muggy conditions as dew points sit in the low 70s throughout the morning.
Look for partly cloudy skies this morning to turn into mostly cloudy skies this afternoon. As a cold front approaches from the north and west, we’ll see more and more storms roll in through the afternoon.
With a marginal risk for severe weather in place across the Queen City, we can see a few of the storms packing a punch in the form of damaging winds. Be on the lookout for spotty downed tree limbs and some isolated power outages from the storm. Timing for today’s storm potential will mainly be after 3 PM and linger into the evening.
Look for overnight lows to bottom out in the 70s with another warm night on tap. Wednesday will rebound into the upper 80s with some lingering storm chances for mid-week.
We’ll dry out with 90s returning just in time for the 4th of July. Summer-like storms will return by Monday of next week.
Today: Partly Cloudy & Hot with Pop Up Storms. High: 90.
Tonight: Partly Cloudy & Warm. Low: 73.
