In the recent appearance on Ravichandran Ashwin's YouTube show 'Kutti Stories with Ash,' Indian spinner Varun Chakravarthy picked his dream T20 team with 11 desired players whom he has played with.
Ravichandran Ashwin, the show host, asked the Kolkata Knight Riders star to pick a dream team of his XI players, placing the only condition that the team should feature players whom the cricketer has played with.
Varun picked a set of 11 players, leaving out several veterans of the game, from Chris Gayle and David Warner to the Indian veterans Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. His team consists of only three Indian players.
Varun Chakravarthy, the KKR spinner, has picked English veteran batter Jos Buttler and Australian dynamic batter Travis Head as the openers in his dream T20 team. Both these batters are known to be explosive with their style of play.
However, the two veterans Rohit and Virat, the two highest run-scorers of T20Is until their retirement and the two highest scorers of IPL, have not been included by Varun in his team.
At no. 3, Chakravarthy placed current Indian skipper Suryakumar Yadav, who is undoubtedly considered the greatest T20I batter of the current generation. Nicholas Pooran, one of the world's most devastating batters, is placed at No. 4 in the playing 11.
Heinrich Klaasen finds himself in the Dream T20 team as well, while he has placed three all-rounders in the side. He picked the likes of Indian stalwart Hardik Pandya and the two KKR veteran all-rounders Andre Russell and Sunil Narine.
Only one spinner could find a place in Chakravarthy's playing 11, as he named Afghan spinner Rashid Khan in the team. While Jasprit Bumrah and Matheesha Pathirana are the two pacers in the team.
