Ronda Rousey couldn’t quite believe what she witnessed at Power Slap 13 on Friday night.
‘Rowdy’ had front row seats for the Power Slap event inside Fontainebleau Las Vegas, which is part of a huge week for owner Dana White.
UFC President and CEO White slapped his unique fight league during International Fight Week and one day before UFC 317.
Ilia Topuria faces Charles Oliveira for the vacant lightweight title in the headline act from ‘Sin City’ on Saturday night, with Alexandre Pantoja fighting Kai Kara-France for flyweight gold in the co-main event.
With Power Slap being in Las Vegas before the UFC kicks off its biggest card of the year, a plethora of combat athletes were in town to witness the card.
One of those in attendance for Power Slap 13 was former UFC champion and women’s MMA pioneer Rousey.
And before the fights had even reached the main card on the evening, she was gifted a spectacular knockout.
Rousey’s reaction came during the preliminary card when debutant and professional wrestler Stunt Marshall took on Dontae Smiley.
Marshall had already survived a slap from Smiley in the first round before lining up one of his own.
He went for two practice swings before landing the most devastating left-handed slap and knocked Smiley out cold.
Smiley’s head rocked back before snapping forward and thumping the centre podium as he crashed to the floor unconscious.
Rousey was already half-hiding behind her palm and laughing when Marshall lined up his slap.

A third added: “There’s some damn stupid sports out there, but this one must take the biscuit as being one of the worst.”
Another wrote: “Wow. He got switched off.”

Rousey was stunned as Smiley’s head bounced off the podiumPower SlapRousey signed with the UFC in 2012 and become the promotion’s first women’s champion en route to her global status as an MMA legend.
In total, she defended her bantamweight belt five times, stopping the likes of Sara McMann and Alexis Davis with first-round knockouts before losing the belt to Holly Holm in 2015.
Rousey was then defeated in 48 seconds by Amanda Nunes at UFC 207 in her final MMA fight in December 2026 before she joined the WWE, having retired with a 12-2 professional record.
Power Slap was just a small percentage of White’s massive International Fight Week.
MMA icon Mark Kerr was inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame by Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson on Thursday night in another part of the celebratory week, which concludes with Topuria vs Oliveira at UFC 317.
Topuria has vowed to finish Oliveira in their main event bout, and the majority of talkSPORT staff agreed when making their UFC 317 predictions.
