Ronnie O’Sullivan has married Laila Rouass, after the couple rekindled their relationship following a split ten months ago.
The couple previously announced their separation in September, ending their 13-year on-off relationship, before reconciling earlier this year.
And Footballers’ Wives actress Laila has now revealed just how committed the pair are to each other, as she announced the news of their marriage on social media.
Taking to Instagram, the 54-year-old shared a picture of her and the snooker legend smiling outside St George’s Town Hall in Shadwell, east London, with confetti being thrown on them.
Laila can be seen wearing a silk dress and black cowboy boots, while O’Sullivan dons a smart shirt and trousers.
Alongside the photo of the newlyweds, Laila, who is of Moroccan and Indian heritage, explained the significance of the wedding venue, having grown up in the East End of London.
She wrote in the caption: “Palestinians have taught me so much, most importantly to honour human connection, make love your motivator and to keep refreshing it. So l suppose after almost a year break…this was one way of pressing the refresh button.
“Ok… so it wasn’t Venice…that was fully booked.
“It was Cable Street in Shadwell where I was born and where my heart belongs. It’s where in 1936, local activists along with the Jewish community gathered together to demonstrate against the planned fascist BUF marchers.
“The Battle of Cable Street was used by my father as an example of how a community rooted in justice, can bring change…that we all have a duty to fight for the freedom and rights of others.
“The East End is the land of the immigrants. Its vibrancy, diversity and working class roots is something I treasure. I was born there, I was educated there, today I was married there and I will be buried there because my roots are my roots.
“Free Palestine.”

He has his oldest child Taylor-Ann Magnus (born in 1996) from a two-year relationship with Sally Magnus, and Lily (born 2006) and Ronnie Jr (born 2007) from a relationship with Jo Langley.
The seven-time world champion first began dating Laila in 2012, before getting engaged in February 2013.
In 2022, it was announced the couple had ended their relationship, but later reconciled, only to separate again last year.
But this wasn’t for long, with the Sun recently revealing their reunion, as well as the pair’s plans to build a new life together in Dubai.
It was also reported that O’Sullivan is selling his £2million home in Chigwell, Essex, in anticipation of their move to the UAE.
A source told the publication: “They have been back together for a while. The time apart gave them time to think about what they want and what is important to them — and that is being together.
“Ronnie is moving to the Middle East and Laila is going with him.
O’Sullivan shares the record for the most world titles, alongside Stephen HendryPA“They’ve talked about living in Dubai, which is just a two-hour flight from where Ronnie has his snooker academy in Saudi Arabia.
“He has spoken to people on his snooker circuit about the move and is excited about a clean break from the UK for him and Laila.”
News of O’Sullivan’s future plans with Laila come just over a month after his semi-final exit from the World Snooker Championship.
The Rocket suffered a heavy defeat to eventual champion Zhao Xintong, and revealed after the loss that he would soon be relocating, sparking speculation he could be set to retire.
If O’Sullivan decides to retire he will likely go down as the best snooker player of all-time – an opinion held by the majority of fans.
