ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A woman is hospitalized after she was hit by a car that fled the scene on the city’s southwest side. It happened around midnight on Friday on Thurston Road near Sawyer Street.
Rochester Police say the 56-year-old pulled over to work on a flat tire when the car, a gray sedan, hit her. She was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
News10NBC’s photojournalist saw multiple officers and patrol cars blocking the road overnight. Police are asking anyone with information that can help to find the car to call 911.
