The LIV Tour is back in action this week with a gathering at Maridoe Golf Club in Dallas, where last season’s Team Championship was contested.
The 7,567-yard layout is certainly on the long side which means it is no surprise to see big-hitting boffin Bryson DeChambeau at the head of the market, although he may have to go a long way to stop Joaquin Niemann, who became the first player to win four events in one season when he triumphed in Virginia last time out.

LIV Dallas Tips
Tyrrell Hatton to win @ 17/2 Patrick Reed to win and each-way @ 14/1 Lucas Herbert to win and each-way @ 28/1Hatton can build on strong Oakmont showing
Quite a few of the LIV entrants at the US Open struggled in the taxing course conditions at Oakmont, but one player who shone was Tyrrell Hatton and he can take a strong performance into what could be a bold bid for Dallas glory.
The Englishman finished fourth behind JJ Spaun in Pennsylvania and it boosted Hatton’s recent record that has seen him post top-15 finishes in each of his last three LIV outings.
He has the short-game ability to flourish at Maridoe Golf Club this week and should be boosted by the fact he fired a 68 in the individual round of the Team Championship that took place at the Texas track last year.
Confidence has never been an issue for the European Ryder Cup star and he should be full of beans for his latest assignment that comes a year after his only LIV success in Nashville.
Reed should be fired up for bold challenge
Another player who never fails to have plenty of faith in his own ability is Patrick Reed, who would dearly love to post a string of good results to boost his chances of being selected for the American Ryder Cup team.
The Texan was 23rd at the US Open and he should not be ignored on a course where he won his matchplay battles in the Team Championship and scored a three-under-par 69 in the individual round.
The former Masters champion’s short-game skills could come to the fore this week and he should also take something from his fourth spot in Miami in April.
Fond memories can aid Herbert’s bid
Lucas Herbert was a member of the Rippers, who came out on top of the Team Championship and the Australian will hope he can boost his position of fifth in the individual standings.
His 46th in Virginia last time was a disappointment, but before that he claimed a five-shot success on the Asian Tour at the International Series Japan.
He has finished fourth in both Riyadh and Hong Kong and was second alongside DeChambeau and behind Niemann in Mexico City, so he knows what it is like to battle it out at the top of the leaderboard and he could get over the line this week..
