The Steelers will be a new-look team in 2025 after a big shake-up.

Their biggest moves have been made on the offensive side of the ball.

But the latest move will change their special teams play as well this season.

Long snapper Tucker Addington is expected to officially join the Steelers, according to Aaron Wilson of KPRC.

Addington, 27, will join from the Houston Texans.

He signed a futures contract with the team after the end of the 2024 season.

Addington has been in the league since 2022.

He has played 10 times during his career to date.

As well as the Texans, he has also played for the New England Patriots, Washington Commanders and Miami Dolphins.

Addington’s other teams include the Dallas Cowboys and Jacksonville Jaguars.

Pittsburgh also has Christian Kuntz on the roster as a long snapper.

It remains to be seen how Addington will fit into the team’s plans.

The Steelers begin their 2025 season with a trip to the New York Jets.

That game will see new quarterback Aaron Rodgers face the team that released him in March.

Rodgers eventually signed a one-year deal with the Steelers to continue his career.

But he’s adamant it is his last year after two decades in the league.

The 41-year-old appeared on The Pat McAfee Show on Tuesday.

And he declared, “Yeah, I’m pretty sure this is it. That’s why we just did a one-year deal.

“This was really about finishing with a lot of love and fun and peace for the career I’ve had.

“I’ve played 20 frickin’ years, you know? It’s been a long run and I’ve enjoyed it.

“What better place to finish it than in one of the cornerstone franchises of the NFL with Mike Tomlin and a great group of leadership and great guys.”
