People Are Calling This Drink the ‘Spritz of the Summer’—But There’s Just One Big Catch ...Saudi Arabia

Is it even summer without an aperol spritz in hand? The past few summers, this has been the internet's consensus. But, a change in cocktails defining the season seems to be on the horizon.

That's because there’s a new summery spritz on the block and it’s already taking over TikTok. "Trust me, this will be the new spritz of the summer," one TikTok user told her followers.

It’s not a Hugo spritz, but it’s close to it. It’s a Sarti Spritz. If you haven’t heard of it, you’ll probably want to try one once you see its bright pink shade and how refreshing it looks.

As one TikToker explained in another TikTok about the spritz, “there’s this new spritz, in the U.K.” Eli Rallo’s friend told her. “And it’s called Sarti, and everyone’s like having a Sarti Spritz and it's Sarti Spritz summer,” she emphasizes. Think aperol or campari, Eli says. 

So, what’s exactly in this summery spritz? First, we'll start from where the "Sarti" in Sarti Spritz comes from. And that's from Sarti Rosa, which is an Italian aperitif liqueur. 

Sarti Rosa’s website describes it as having “notes of blood orange combined with the tropical freshness of mango and passion fruit.” Aka, a perfect fruity pick for summer.

When it comes to making a Sarti Spritz, Sarti Rosa says it takes just three minutes. All you need is a spritz glass, ice cubes, prosecco, Sarti Rosa, soda and a slice of lime. 

Then, start off by filling your glass with ice and adding three parts of prosecco. Next, simply add two parts of Sarti Rosa with a splash of soda. Finally, stir, garnish with the lime slice and serve! You now have the hottest spritz of the season.

Sadly, the catch with this cocktail is that Sarti Rosa isn’t widely available in the United States. At least, not yet. 

That means, we’ll have to live vicariously through the TikTok hype. Or, if you’re traveling to Europe, make sure you try a sip of this up-and-coming drink. 

In Eli’s TikTok comments, users were hooked. “I need it immediately,” one user commented. “THIS IS THE BEST DRINK I HAVE EVER HAD,” someone who tried it wrote “BUT THEY DON'T HAVE IT IN THE US.” 

Others were motivated. “Booking a flight immediately,” one wrote. “Going to London soon and I know what I’m gonna do,” a different user said. 

That being said, don’t miss out on trying this drink of the summer if you're traveling! Otherwise, we’ll keep our fingers crossed that Sarti Rosa will make its way to the U.S. sometime soon.
