Ree Drummond’s Latest Surprise Has ‘Pioneer Woman’ Fans Buzzing

The Pioneer Woman star Ree Drummond has long offered glimpses into life on her family’s working cattle ranch, but only through the lens of her Food Network cooking show. Now she's switching things up. In a move that has fans buzzing, the celebrity chef has launched a brand new YouTube channel dedicated entirely to pulling back the curtain on prairie life.

The Food Network personality shared details of the new series, titled Drummond Ranch, via Facebook. Attached was a YouTube link where fans could view an extended trailer for the online-exclusive series.

Drummond wrote, "Have been working on this for awhile and am so excited to share this little sneak peek trailer with you. If you have missed the ranching/agricultural content on my show in recent years, you might enjoy following this YouTube series!"

She continued, "I play only a supporting role in this one. The real stars are the cowboys (including Paige!), cattle, horses, weather, markets, ups, downs, and everything in between."

The celebrity chef concluded, "We even filmed Paige's wedding and the behind-the-scenes of setting it up on the ranch. Hope you enjoy the trailer (it shows just a small glimpse of what's to come), and you can subscribe to the Drummond Ranch channel to see new episodes, which will start posting soon. Saddle up!"

For years, Ree Drummond shared footage of her family hard at work on their cattle ranch while she cooked and delivered meals to them during their daily chores. In more recent seasons, however, that behind-the-scenes content has appeared far less frequently.

This new series heavily focuses on ranch work, as Ladd Drummond, his brother Tim, and the ranch's cowboys maintain the land their family has owned for over 100 years. Also featured in the series are three of Ree and Ladd's children, Todd, Bryce, and Paige Drummond. It is unclear if daughter Alex or son Jamar will appear.

In the video, Paige tells the cameras that she was the only one of the siblings to return to work at the ranch full-time. "It's kind of exhausting. You're doing a lot of work with your body."

She added, "I think it's important to keep it going for our family. But also keeping it going as a woman."

Drummond family fans took to Facebook to share their comments on the trailer. They appeared thrilled to get to see more of the cowboys' behind-the-scenes life.

"Can't wait! It's encouraging to see the cowboy life coming back to the forefront. Most young people today have no idea where their food comes from, let alone the hard work it takes to get it. I grew up on a farm and saw the hard work it takes. So glad to see that being brought back into focus," one social media user posted.

"Always enjoyed hearing about the ranch! It's part of what drew me into your show. Also, watching the kids grow and the pets. These things made the show seem really cohesive and real," a second wrote.

A third penned, "Love it! I love that the focus is on the cowboys and ranch life." A fourth noted, "This is something I didn't know I needed! So excited for this!"

The Pioneer Woman airs on Food Network. New Drummond Ranch episodes are expected to drop soon on YouTube.
