Alejandro Garnacho risks alienating himself from Manchester United fans (if he hasn’t already) by wearing an Aston Villa shirt on holiday.
The Argentina winger, who has been told to find a new club by Red Devils boss Ruben Amorim, shared a series of snaps to fans of his holiday to Ibiza.
The photo album on his Instagram post shows Garnacho chilling out in the pool as well as in the sea or visiting night spots of the famous Spanish party island.
However, the standout picture sees him don a replica jersey of a rival Premier League club of Man United’s in Villa.
In the photo Garnacho has his back to camera, as he reveals he has Man United teammate Marcus Rashford’s name and no.9 on the back of the Villa shirt.
Rashford, who spent the second half of the 2024/25 season on loan at Villa Park, enjoyed Garnacho’s post, commenting: “My brother [love heart emoji].”
It’s not something that’s gone down too well with Man United fans though, as one said: “Bang out of order to all of us who have backed you. It’s a big up yours to United fans.”
Another said: “So much for all the fans that supported you. I literally got your shirt last week as well.”
While this fan said: “He really put that Villa kit on and struck a pose like it was a statement. It is — just not the one he thinks.”
Garnacho’s time at Old Trafford is all-but over with the player’s conduct in recent months causing consternation among all those associated with Man United.
The 20-year-old was widely criticised for storming down the tunnel at Man United’s home after being substituted during the team’s win over Ipswich Town in February.
Meanwhile, Garnacho posted a cryptic message on his Instagram appearing to question Amorim’s team selection hours before the Europa League final, which saw Garnacho get snubbed from the starting XI for Man United’s defeat to Tottenham Hotspur.

talkSPORT understands Garnacho isn’t sure of admirers with Italian giants Napoli interested, while Chelsea explored a potential move in January.
He joined Man United in October 2020 as a 16-year-old, signing his first professional deal in 2022.
The Madrid-born player has 26 goals and 22 assists in 144 appearances for Man United and has collected an FA Cup and Carabao Cup winners’ medal in that time.
But it appears to be a question of when rather than if Garnacho will leave Man United with the club keen to cash in on him in order to fund their summer rebuild.
