A dog found trapped in a drain pipe at the Parker Water Treatment Facility was rescued by Douglas County first responders on Saturday morning, according to South Metro Fire Rescue.
South Metro crews along with Parker police and Douglas County animal control officers were called to the facility at 16850 Parkerhouse Road at 9:27 a.m. after the pup, which appears to be a German shepherd, was spotted in the pipe.
At 9:27 a.m., South Metro Fire Rescue was dispatched alongside Parker Police Department and Douglas County Animal Control to the Parker Water Treatment Facility at 16850 Parkerhouse Road for an animal rescue.

Video of the encounter shows the dog peering out from the pipe opening near the top of a concrete retaining wall.
South Metro firefighters used an aerial bucket to reach the dog and safely remove it from the pipe. The dog did not appear to be injured, though it’s not clear how it got in the pipe or how long it was trapped, South Metro officials said.
