Westbound lanes of 6th Avenue are closed early Friday morning following a fatal crash involving a motorist and a pedestrian.

Police first shared news of the incident on social media at about 3:33 a.m. Friday and said the driver stayed at the scene following the crash. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
