EDITOR’S NOTE: The following is a summary of crime reports taken from the Greeley Police Department’s daily logs. Only a few of the hundreds of reports will be used in this weekly column because of space limitations.
May 31
2:45 a.m.: A caller in the 1700 block of 11th Avenue reported hearing noises coming from the unit above his. The caller was worried because the unit had been vacant for the two months prior.
9:15 a.m.: A caller in the 1100 block of 14th Avenue reported that she had a person caught in her basement and was wondering if she should keep the person down there for the rest of the person’s life.
10:30 a.m.: A caller in the 1600 block of Glenmere Park reported a severely injured goose in the park with babies that it was trying to protect.
5:30 p.m.: A caller on 10th Street between 83rd Avenue and Promontory Parkway reported a pet turtle trying to cross the road.
June 1
11:00 a.m.: A caller at a restaurant in the 2100 block of 35th Avenue reported a drunk man brought his own six-pack of Bud Light into the restaurant and was refusing to leave.
6:15 p.m.: A caller in the 2400 block of 35th Avenue reported an alarm at a business across the street had been going off periodically since the night prior.
9:15 p.m.: A caller in the 100 block of East 16th Street reported a naked man in the back of a Black Ford Escort with front-end damage. The caller told the man to leave, but he just moved to another parking lot.
9:30 p.m.: A caller at a restaurant in the 4300 block of 9th Street Road reported a woman came in after the restaurant closed and started yelling at workers. She said she knew her son was in the freezer because she had planted a listening device.
June 2
6:00 p.m.: A caller in the 2900 block of Reservoir Road reported he received a package in the mail that he didn’t order. The package contained medication, and he wasn’t sure what to do with it.
9:45 p.m.: A caller at a restaurant in the 5900 block of 10th Street reported an employee was harassing her about her order.
9:45 p.m.: A caller at an unknown address reported his wife’s boyfriend had been making threats to the caller because the caller wanted his wife to come home from the boyfriend’s house in Loveland.
11:15 p.m.: A caller at the hospital in the 2900 block of 29th Street reported a man on the property throwing things at cars.
