David Beckham’s grand ambitions for Inter Miami are closer than ever to being realised.
The 50-year-old, who is a co-owner of the Major League Soccer (MLS) side, shared snaps on Instagram of the club’s new stadium taking shape.
Beckham is seen posing with his arms outstretched and standing on what will eventually become a row of seats at Miami Freedom Park with several cranes in the background.
He was also snapped standing alongside his wife Victoria and son Cruz in front of a model version of the completed stadium.
The Manchester United hero even donned a high-vis vest and hard hat as he stood on the ground inside the stadium.
He captioned the post: “Our beautiful new home is taking shape. For me, Jorge and Jose Mas our dream for our club is becoming a reality. Miami Freedom Park… coming soon.”
The stadium, which broke ground in August 2023, is the centrepiece of what is a 100 per cent privately funded project by the club’s ownership group.
It is not a cheap project either, with the total cost estimated to be an eye-watering $1billion (£745m).
The stadium, which will boast a 25,000-seat capacity, is the centrepiece.
But there will also be an array of benefits for the local community, including the creation of 15,000 direct and indirect jobs as well as the largest park in the city.
Although the stadium is expected to be open in 2026, it will not be in use for next year’s FIFA World Cup.
Instead, games at the tournament will be played at the Miami’s Hard Rock Stadium, home of NFL team Miami Dolphins and the site of the Miami Grand Prix in Formula One and the Miami Open tennis tournament.

The World Cup winner’s contract with Inter Miami is due to expire at the end of 2025, meaning the one-time Supporters’ Shield victors could begin life at their new home without their golden goose.
Inter Miami and Messi have reportedly been locked in negotiations over a new deal since last November, with the intention to extend him for the 2026 season.
In April, co-owner Jorge Mas expressed hope of re-signing the eight-time Ballon d’Or winner and and expected a resolution ‘within 60 to 90 days’.
However, talks between the two parties may be on ice as Messi and Miami’s focus centres on the Club World Cup.
The MLS side got their tournament off to a slow start with a 0-0 draw against Egyptian side Al-Ahly.
Messi’s dreams of winning the Club World Cup are looking unlikelyGettyMiami had goalkeeper Oscar Ustari to thank for preserving a clean sheet as he denied former Aston Villa winger Trezeguet from the spot in the first half.
Messi was also denied a goal in second-half stoppage time by Al Ahly gloveman Mohamed El Shenawy as he turned the Argentinian’s effort against the bar.
As for Miami’s MLS form, it has not been smooth sailing under manager Javier Mascherano.
Under the former Liverpool and Barcelona ace, Mascherano’s side sit sixth out of 15 teams in the Eastern Conference on 29 points from 16 games.
Although they have scored a league-leading 36 goals, Miami have conceded 27 times, three more than 14th-placed Toronto FC.
Messi and Miami will look to bag their first points of the Club World Cup as they take on Portuguese giants Porto in Atlanta.
