TRENT Alexander-Arnold completed a stunning move to Real Madrid this summer.
The England international ended a 20-year stint at his boyhood club Liverpool to join the Spanish giants.
Alexander-Arnold went out in style, helping the Reds to their 20th top-flight league title, adding to the 2019-20 Premier League triumph under Jurgen Klopp.
During his time at the Merseyside giants, he also won the Champions League in 2018/19, the 2022 FA Cup and two league cups.
The set-piece specialist made 354 appearances for his boyhood club and scored 23 goals and provided 92 assists.
But now Alexander-Arnold is set for a different venture at Real Madrid – and he has already made a couple of huge changes.
Why does Trent Alexander-Arnold wear just ‘Trent’ on his Real Madrid shirt?
During his time at Liverpool, Alexander-Arnold wore the 66 shirt with Alexander-Arnold on the back.
But at Real Madrid, he will ditch his surname and wear just Trent on the back for Los Blancos.
During his first press conference at the Spanish giants, Alexander-Arnold explained his decision to make the change, he said: “People call me Alexander, Arnold, Alex and Trent. There’s a lot going on. So I thought, let’s make it easy.”
He has also changed his handle on Instagram from ‘trentarnold66’ to ‘trent’.

Will Trent Alexander-Arnold wear number 66 at Real Madrid?
At Liverpool, Alexander-Arnold wore an uncommon number in 66.
The full-back had no personal connection to the number – he was just allocated it as a youngster and stuck with it during his time on Merseyside.
But Alexander-Arnold was forced to change his iconic shirt number at Real Madrid as Spanish top-flight clubs must name a 25-man ‘A’ squad at the start of the season, and every outfield player must wear a number from 1-25, while goalkeepers can wear 1, 13 and 25.
When the Liverpudlian arrived, the only numbers available were 12 and 18, and the right-back went with 12.
So Alexander-Arnold will don the iconic Real Madrid strip with ‘Trent 12’ on the back.
