The College World Series continues with Day 6 action on Wednesday in Omaha.

The series finally shifts to the national semifinals and the last four teams standing. The day opens with an afternoon showdown between Louisville and Coastal Carolina, and the nightcap features an SEC rematch between Arkansas and LSU.

After advancing through the winner’s brackets, Coastal Carolina and LSU can advance to the CWS Finals with a win on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Arkansas and Louisville must win on Wednesday and again on Thursday to avoid elimination and advance.

After falling to Oregon State in its CWS opener, Louisville has been on a comeback path with a flair for the dramatic. The Cardinals rode a 6-run 8th inning in a comeback win over Arizona, and it took a walk-off sacrifice fly against Oregon State on Tuesday after blowing a 3-run 9th-inning lead vs. the Beavers.

Coastal Carolina has been awaiting its opponent since Sunday, rattling off 2 straight wins against Arizona and Oregon State to start the CWS. The Chanticleers trail only LSU in the latest 2025 College World Series odds, coming in at +225.

In Bracket 2, Arkansas found a way to shake off a rocky CWS opener from ace Zach Root. The Razorbacks received a historic no-hitter from Gage Wood in an elimination game vs. Murray State, and they got a bit of redemption in a solid start from Root in Tuesday’s elimination victory over UCLA.

As for LSU, the Tigers have been red-hot on the mound and at the plate. Jay Johnson’s squad is outscoring opponents 13-6 to begin the CWS and will look to make it 3 straight wins into the CWS Finals.
