Chris Daughtry’s fans can’t stop talking about his blackout tattoos. The American Idol alum, 45, recently shared a video on social media documenting how he stays in shape while on the road.
In the shirtless clip, the Daughtry frontman can be seen doing bicep curls while warming up his voice by singing an acoustic version of “The Day I Die.” Daughtry’s impressive abs caught fans’ attention, but a heated debate broke out in the comment section about the singer’s polarizing blackout tattoos.
Daughtry is currently co-headlining a North American tour with Seether.

The “Home” singer captioned the post, “The bus and @maxprodetroit will have to do… and with it being first show back after a couple weeks off I’m a bit rusty… might as well get in the reps while I warm up the pipes with THE DAY I DIE. Not as easy as I thought… even still… Lila is not impressed ? How about you?”

Fans were impressed with Daughtry’s “insane physique,” but couldn’t take their eyes off his blackout tattoos, which extend from his shoulders to his wrists.

While one fan wrote, “Worst tattoo idea ever ?,” most comments were more complimentary, with another fan noting, “Those pipes are still incredible.”
In March, the singer revealed he got the blackout tattoos to cover up older ink he no longer wanted.
