A 34-year-old man was arrested Monday on suspicion of murder after a weekend shooting near Coors Field left one person dead, police said.
Deonte Reshod Minyard was arrested on suspicion of first-degree murder in the shooting, which happened late Saturday night in the 2200 block of Blake Street, according to a news release from the Denver Police Department.
Police believe several people got into a verbal fight just before midnight Saturday near the intersection of Blake and 22nd Street, according to the release. That fight escalated into the fatal shooting.
The victim will be identified by the Denver Office of the Medical Examiner.

He was out on bail in a separate assault case in Denver at the time of the shooting, according to court records. He posted that bond on April 24.
