Severe overnight storms brought very large hail to several northern Colorado communities Tuesday morning.
Milliken was hit the worst, with baseball-sized hail reported at 3:40 a.m., according to the National Weather Service.
Very large hail was also reported in Wellington (2.5 inches), Johnstown (2 inches) and Eaton (1.5 inches). Large hail was reported in Lucerne (1.25 inch), at Black Hollow Reservoir west of Pierce (1.25 inches), Fort Morgan (1.25 inches) and Gill (1 inch).
Thunderstorms are again likely from noon to 4 p.m. Tuesday in northern Colorado, according to the National Weather Service. The agency gives a 70% chance of precipitation and estimates wind gusts of about 20 mph.
