Game 4 of the NBA Finals occurs on Friday, June 13, at 8:30 pm ET. This is the second game in Indiana in this series. 

In Game 3, the Pacers got the 116-107 win. They’re now up 2-1 in this series. The Pacers outscored the Thunder 32-18 in the fourth quarter. 

Below, I’ll cover my predictions and picks for Game 4.

Oklahoma City Thunder vs Indiana Pacers Game 4 betting preview

The Thunder got off to a hot start with a 32-24 lead in the first quarter. From there, they trailed at halftime but went into the fourth quarter with the lead.

However, as mentioned, they put up just 18 points and lost by nine points. Four players had double-digit points: Jalen Williams (26), Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (24), Chet Holmgren (20), and Luguentz Dort (12). The Thunder shot 37 of 79 from the floor (46.8%), including 10 of 22 from 3-point range (45.5%). The Thunder also had 17 turnovers and were outscored in the paint, 50-48. 

As for the Pacers, they shot 44 of 85 from the floor (51.8%), including 9 of 27 from 3-point range (33.3%). They shot 19 of 22 from the free-throw line (86.4%).

The Pacers moved the ball around well (24 assists) and had more blocks (11-4). The Pacers took six more shots and had seven more makes overall.

They silenced Gilgeous-Alexander as best as they could, allowing him to score just 24 points. That’s a great day for almost every other player, but for SGA, that’s a “bad” game.

Thunder vs Pacers analysis

I thought the Thunder would get the win on the road in Game 3, but of course, they didn’t get it done. 

Of course, though, we’ve seen this with the Thunder before. This feels like the series against the Denver Nuggets. 

In both series, the Thunder lost Game 1 at home, got a big win in Game 2, and lost in the first game on the road. 

Historically, players like Andrew Nembhard have had trouble against SGA, but he and players like Ben Sheppard did a great job. 

I don’t think that can stick, though. 

With a game on the road under their belt, look for the Thunder to respond.

Thunder vs Pacers Game 4 picks

I’m going with Oklahoma City here. I think they’re the better team, and we’ve seen this “arc” already this postseason. 

Look for SGA to respond and get back to his baseline of about 30 points as they continue to hold the Pacers down from beyond the arc, play strong defense, and get back to outscoring them in the paint.
