G Flip can count their wife, Selling Sunset star Chrishell Stause, as the No. 1 fan of their music.
“She hears everything first, of course,” G Flip, 31, exclusively told Us Weekly on Tuesday, June 10. “She’ll be like, ‘That one’s good. You need to finish that one, or please can that one go on the album?’ She really fights for songs sometimes.”
The Australian drummer, who identifies as nonbinary and uses they/them pronouns, further explained how Stause, 43, is involved in their recording process. (G Flip is gearing up for the release of their third studio-length album.)
“There is one on the album that she really likes. She said to me, ‘How much can I buy it [for]? I can release it myself,’” G Flip teased. “She really went hard on it. She’s so sweet and so supportive and loves music, and her dad was a drummer … and she loves live shows. It’s sweet.”
How Chrishell Stause and G Flip Keep Their Romance 'Spicy'
Stause confirmed her romance with G Flip during the season 5 reunion of Selling Sunset. The pair, who had a non-legal wedding in 2023, met when the actress appeared in one of G Flip’s music videos in 2021.
Since then, Stause has become an instrumental part of the production process.
“Chrishell’s really creative and sometimes comes up with concepts for visuals,” G Flip said on Tuesday. “Obviously, [she has] worked in the movie and entertainment industry for so long, and she’s got such a creative brain.”
G Flip dropped the first single off the new record, “Big Ol’ Hammer,” earlier this week that’s already gotten praise from Stause.

While speaking with Us, G Flip clarified the meaning of Stause’s comment.
“Sometimes I just put a tool belt on with a big, old hammer and get to work,” G Flip joked to Us. “A lot of people have tool belts. A lot of people, they’ve got sheds and they’ve got tool belts and they’ve got tools.”
Jokes aside, G Flip approves of Stause’s social media prowess.

“We all know when Chrishell comments on something because she’s so witty,” the musician added. “She just says something left-field that’s just really funny, and I’m always waiting and hanging for her comments because you never know what she’s going to say.”
Stause was also present when G Flip filmed their “Big Ol’ Hammer” video.
“I would hear her like, ‘Woo’ [and] her cheers. She was watching the little screen we had, so she was there, and she was so cute,” G Flip recalled. “She bought everyone food and drinks, and [she] bought tequila and chicken and chips. She was so great, and her support is always so lovely. She’s such an angel of a human being.”
G Flip’s new album drops later this year, and their newest single, “Big Ol’ Hammer,” is out now.
