The quarterback ended months of speculation by signing a one-year deal worth $13.6 million.

He joins one of the league’s most storied teams and enters a historic division.

The Steelers face the Baltimore Ravens, Cleveland Browns and Cincinnati Bengals home and away.

The Browns team features one of the league’s star pass rushers in Myles Garrett.

And Garrett was asked about the four-time Most Valuable Player joining an AFC North team.

“I think it’s a good opportunity to put him in the graveyard,” Garrett smiled.

Garrett is a former No. 1 overall NFL Draft pick.

He’s been to the Pro Bowl six times and was the NFL’s Defensive Player of the Year in 2023.

Garrett has 102.5 career sacks so far in his career.

The defensive end requested a trade from the Browns earlier this year.

He wanted to move to a winning team after Cleveland’s 3-14 season in 2024.

But the 29-year-old agreed a mega four-year, $160 million contract extension.

Rodgers spoke for the first time as a Pittsburgh Steelers player this week.

He revealed his reason for signing after talks with the New York Giants and Minnesota Vikings.

The 41-year-old won the Super Bowl during his two decades with the Green Bay Packers.

He was a free agent this year after the New York Jets cut him following two disastrous seasons.

“I don’t need it for my ego,” Rodgers said.

“I don’t need it to keep playing.

“A lot of decisions that I’ve made over my career and life from strictly the ego, even if they turn out well, are always unfulfilling.

“But the decisions made from the soul are usually pretty fulfilling.

“This was a decision that was best for my soul.

“I felt like being here with coach Mike Tomlin and the guys that got here, and the opportunity here was the best for me and I’m excited to be here.

“There were conversations with other organizations, for sure.

“But again, the rapport that fell in between me and Mike made it to where, as I was going through my personal stuff, there wasn’t any other option for me.

“It was here or not play.”
