The city of Greeley’s One Percent for Art Program and the Downtown Development Authority are looking for artists to add to the Art Alley mural project located between 8th and 9th streets and 8th and 9th avenues.
Qualified artists are invited to submit proposals for designs to wrap the new dumpster enclosures in the alley. These designs should be geared toward musically themed art.
The Art Alley mural project started in 2014 and has since provided colorful images to those who walk through it in downtown Greeley. The alleyway won the Governor’s Award for Excellence in 2020.
Artists who want to hand-deliver their proposals need to do so by 5 p.m. Wednesday, July 2, at the Greeley Recreation Center front desk, 651 10th Ave., to Kim Snyder. Artists can also email Snyder their proposals, and the deadline for that is 11:59 p.m. July 2. Email Snyder at [email protected].
The selected artists will be notified by Friday, July 18. They will be paid $2,100 for their design.
