Despite legal safeguards, criticssay the raids have ensnared legal residents and permanent residents alike. LosAngeles Mayor Karen Bass condemned the tactics as fear-inducing. “These tacticssow terror in our communities and disrupt basic principles of safety,” shesaid. “We will not stand for this.”
