Arizona State Sun Devils quarterback Sam Leavitt on Friday was named a Manning Passing Academy counselor for the 2025 event.
This marks his first time as an MPA counselor.
He along with Louisiana’s Walker Howard, Georgia’s Gunner Stockton and Kansas State’s Avery Johnson were the latest batch of college signal callers to join the 20-plus list that continues to grow.
Other names on the MPA counselor list include Arch Manning (Texas), John Mateer (Oklahoma) and Drew Allar (Penn State).

The Sun Devil is coming off a strong 2024 campaign where he completed 61.7% of his throws for 2,885 yards and 24 touchdowns to six interceptions. He got it done on the ground, too, rushing for 443 yards and five touchdowns on 110 carries.
Along with running back Cam Skattebo, the ASU signal caller was integral in his program’s run to the Peach Bowl.
Now with Skattebo running the rock at the NFL level for the New York Giants, the onus is on Leavitt and wide receiver Jordyn Tyson to pick up the slack left behind.

Ran by Archie, Copper, Eli and Peyton Manning, the academy is entering its 29th year running.
This year’s event runs from June 26-29 and is being held at Nicholls State in Louisiana.
