Clark sat out the Fever’s 85-76 win over the Washington Mystics on Tuesday.

She has now missed three straight games with the quad issue.

It was the team’s first win since the 23-year-old went down with the issue.

Following the game, Clark gave reporters an update on her status.

And she confirmed she will sit out this weekend’s showdown with the Chicago Sky.

“I’ll miss this weekend’s game, but after that, it’s day-by-day and see how I feel,” Clark said on Wednesday.

“I’ll just turn to the medical staff and what they think.

“I feel like I’ve made a lot of progress and I feel good, and I’m not going to rush coming back. It’s just not worth it.

“But after this weekend, I’ll be reevaluated and we’ll have a better idea of when I’ll return.”

Clark was on the sideline as the Fever benefited from a breakout performance from emergency signing Aari McDonald.

McDonald, 26, signed for the Fever this Monday having been released by the Los Angeles Sparks.

The new arrival had seven points, five assists and three steals off the bench.

“When you’re out there playing, and actually in the heat of the moment, you don’t always realize everything,” Clark claimed after watching from the sideline.

“You see things from a different perspective that maybe the coaching staff didn’t see.”

Clark’s injury means she will miss out on facing rival Angel Reese and the Sky.

The pair’s season-opening showdown led to heated scenes on court.

Reese was knocked to the ground by Clark during the teams’ first meeting last month.

The pair have been rivals since college, where Clark played for Iowa and Reese starred for LSU.

Clark was selected as the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft, while Reese went No. 7.

The Fever play the Atlanta Dream next Tuesday before taking on defending champions the New York Liberty on June 14.
