Not only do French Open champions get to celebrate winning one of tennis’s Grand Slam titles, they also get to take home a lot of money.
Last year, Carlos Alcaraz and Iga Swiatek tasted glory at Roland Garros, and the pair are out to repeat their exploits this time around.
The women’s final will take place on Saturday, before the men’s final is held on Sunday, with a champion being crowned on the clay.

French Open prize money
There is a total prize pot of £47million at the French Open.
Both the men’s and women’s champions will claim the same amount of money at Roland Garros.
Winners in the singles will take home an incredible £2.1million.
This is more than the Australian Open prize (£1.7m) and slightly less than what it handed out at Wimbledon (£2.7m) and the US Open (£2.6m).
Runners-up in Paris receive just over £1million, while those who lose in the semi-final leave with £586,000.
Quarter-finalists are handed £373,000 for their exploits.
Meanwhile, doubles champions take home £590,000 in both men’s and women’s competitions.
Mixed doubles winners receive £122,000 in prize money.
