Halle Berry Unveils Major Relationship News ...Saudi Arabia

Are wedding bells ringing for Halle Berry? We wouldn't shut it down, as the iconic actress just opened up about a major development in her relationship with beau Van Hunt.

After making a joint appearance on TODAY with Jenna & Friends on Wednesday, June 4, the couple further opened up about details of their relationship to Today.com, revealing that the musician has actually already proposed to the longtime actress.

"So I put out the proposal, and it’s still on hold as you can see," Hunt, 55, divulged, as the Catwoman star laughed. "It’s just out there floating. You know, maybe you can encourage her."

One might wonder why after several years together (the duo began dating in 2020), Berry is holding off on officially accepting Hunt's offer for her hand in marriage, but the Oscar-winning actress has simple reasoning behind her inclination to take the relationship in stride.

“Well, I’ve been married three times. Van has been married once, and so no, we don’t feel like we have to get married to validate our love in any way. We don't,” Berry explained.

At the same time, though, she in no way shut down the idea of walking down the aisle in the near future. "But I think we will get married just because, out of the people I’ve been married to, this is the person I should have married," the Never Let Go star confirmed, further swooning, “And I feel like I should; we should get married, but it’s not because we feel like we have to. I think it’s something that we would like to do just because we want that expression."

Berry first wed David Justice in 1993 before divorcing in 1997. She was later married to Eric Benét from 2001 to 2005, followed by Olivier Martinez from 2013 to 2016, with whom she welcomed her second child, Maceo Robert Martinez. The B.A.P.S. actress is also mom to her firstborn, Nahla Ariela Aubry, whom she shares with former partner Gabriel Aubry.

As for Hunt, the Grammy-winning singer, songwriter, and music producer has been married once and is dad to a teenage son named Drake.
