Sephora employee ‘spills all the secrets’ and reveals how to get $750 to shop at stores for free

A FORMER staff member at Sephora has revealed that customers can effectively get paid to shop.

The free money is supposedly one of several unique and little-known perks at the beauty retailer.

Many are “secrets” that typically go unmentioned, at least according to what ex-employee Amanda (@amandasepho) told viewers in a TikTok video last month.

“I worked at Sephora for five months, so now I’m spill all the tea on the secrets they made us hide from you,” Amanda said.

She explained later in the clip that one of the must overlooked top benefits at Sephora for regular customers was the opportunity to review its products.

Should they decide to do so, Sephora will offer them hundreds on a gift card for a large haul and subsequent reviews.

“They gate keep this and so many people do not know, but when you sign up tot be a product reviewer at reviewsepho.com, we will literally give you a $750 gift card to shop the entire website or store,” the former employee emphasized.

“You can get a literal haul of Sephora products this way.”

Despite the potential benefit, shoppers should be careful when they look for the gift card opportunity.

Some Reddit threads and other online posts warn that similar offerings could be a scam, and are not affiliated with Sephora.

The U.S. Sun has contacted Sephora for more details.

Even so, Amanda mentioned another perk that could easily be obtained through going in-store.

Those customers who purchase a perfume or cologne from Sephora and run out of it are rewarded by bringing that same empty bottle back in.

The ex-staffer confirmed that Sephora has a specific recycling method for the bottles and will give customers a discount on a new purchase as a thank you.

    BASKET BLUNDER

Except, the Sephora secret that caught the most attention from consumers involved shopping baskets.

Amanda claimed that many times, when an employee hands you a basket in-store, it’s more of an anti-theft measure than a courtesy.

“We were forced to put shopping baskets on customers when they looked like they were going to steal,” she claimed.

“If you’ve ever been shopping around Sephora and then randomly offered a shopping basket you may have looked suspicious to us.”

Several longtime customers were blown away at the notion.

“I’m offended by the basket one, I always get handed a basket I’m just browsing,” a shopper commented.

“They offer it to me all the time! I thought it was customer service,” another wrote.

    KIND GESTURE?

A few employees also rebutted Amanda’s claim, noting that they were also encouraged to hand out baskets out of kindness and not suspicion.

“I worked at Sephora and that’s not true, we offer baskets out of kindness, has nothing to do with stealing,” a staffer wrote.

“Not true I work at Sephora. And it’s a kind gesture when we ask you do you need a basket,” another echoed.

Sephora also confirmed “major” changes to 700 stores earlier this year that “millions of consumers” asked for.

Some shoppers were also left raging in April after the retailer discontinued a fan-favorite makeup product.
