A 20-year-old Huntington Beach woman was killed Monday, June 2, after being shot multiple times in Costa Mesa.
Officers responded to reports of a shooting around 11 p.m. in a residential area on the 1500 block of Lukup Lane. Police found 20-year-old Monserrat Colorado lying on the sidewalk suffering from multiple gunshots. She was hospitalized and later died of her injuries, the Costa Mesa Police Department said.
No arrests have been made as of Tuesday morning.
Authorities said the suspect knew the victim and remains outstanding. Details on the suspect’s relationship to the victim or the circumstances and motive behind the shooting were not released.
