Stick release date, cast and episode guide for new Apple TV+ comedy

Golf swings back onto our screens, but not in the form of another major tournament, but rather in the more unlikely setting of a feel-good comedy series.

Stick, created by Jason Keller, executive producer, and starring Owen Wilson, debuts on Apple TV+ this week.

Down-at-heel Pryce Cahill was once a shining star of the sport but a very public breakdown on television left him with a career teaching pensioners how to play.

But a random encounter with a teenager on his golf course clears the way for a whole new re-entry into the highest echelons of the sport and a fresh perspective on life.

    What is Stick about?

Owen Wilson stars as Pryce Cahill, an over-the-hill, ex-pro golfer whose career was derailed prematurely 20 years ago.

After the collapse of his marriage and dismissal from his job at an Indiana sporting goods store, Pryce hedges his bets entirely on a troubled 17-year-old golf phenomenon named Santi (Peter Dager) whom he spots at his golf course.

After becoming the teenager’s coach, they begin a road trip, with Santi’s mother Elena and Pryce’s old caddy Mitts in tow, to play tournaments across the country.

And along the way, they discover the meaning of family and the importance of relationships, all set within the world of golf.
