The Phoenix Mercury signed guard Haley Jones to a hardship contract, the team announced on Sunday.

Jones previously played with the Atlanta Dream (2023-24) and the Geelong United (2024-25) of the Women’s National Basketball League.
Drafted sixth overall in 2023, Jones has played 80 career games (30 starts), averaging 3.8 points, 2.3 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game.
Jones played her collegiate career at Stanford where she won a national championship in 2021 and was named the Most Outstanding Player of the Tournament. She was also named a First-Team All-American (2021) and was named a Pac-12 Co-Player of the Year (2022).
The news comes as Mercury guard Kahleah Copper and forward Alyssa Thomas are still out with injuries.

The Mercury face the Los Angeles Sparks at Cyrpto.com Arena on Sunday. Tip-off is at 3 p.m.
