Orange County Coast and San Diego County Coastal Areas are under an updated beach hazards statement which was released by the National Weather Service on Sunday at 2:03 a.m. The statement is valid from 9 a.m. until Tuesday, Jun. 3 at 5 p.m.
“Elevated surf of 4 to 6 feet with sets to 7 or 8 feet expected, primarily for south to south-southwest facing beaches in Orange County,” can be expected according to the NWS San Diego CA. “Surf increases through today, peaks Monday, before gradually falling through mid week.”
“Strong rip currents will create hazardous swimming conditions,” the NWS said. “Remain out of the water to avoid hazardous swimming conditions.”
