Blamed for the fallout, Carl is demoted and banished to the basement of the Edinburgh police department and is tasked with leading a newly formed cold case unit that one expects to succeed.
What begins as a dead-end assignment quickly turns into something more. As Carl begrudgingly assembles a team of misfits and underdogs, they begin digging into a long-forgotten disappearance and undercover signs of a much deeper conspiracy.
