Jennifer Lopez opened the 2025 American Music Awards in an energetic fashion, "turning it up" to the biggest hits of the year.
This year's host danced "her heart out" with an opening sequence mash-up of 23 songs, but despite being completely breathless by the end of the bold 6-minute performance, not everyone loved what the 55-year-old performer was putting down.
"JENNIFER LOPEZ PLEASE STOP DANCING," one viewer wrote on X (formerly Twitter), as another figured it was JLo's Dancing With the Stars reveal, noting, "is this Jennifer Lopez hinting she’s gonna be on dwts with this intro #amas."
"why is jennifer lopez kissing everybody at the #AMAs" someone questioned, referring to a moment where the "Let's Get Loud" crooner locked lips with male and female dancers, which got plenty of shocked reactions on social media.
The responses continued, with someone writing, "I’m not hating it but Jennifer Lopez dancing to all the hits doesn’t make sense to me," with a second adding, "never in my life did i think i would see jenniferlopez dance to chappell roan."
