Love Is Blind stars Lauren and Cameron Hamilton are officially expecting a baby, their first child together after four years of trying to conceive.
The beloved couple, who were the first to get engaged on season 1 of the hit Netflix reality series, confirmed their pregnancy to People, and revealed exactly how they found out they were going to be parents.
"We were counting down the day till we could test because we did IVF [in vitro fertilization]," Cameron, 34, told the outlet in an exclusive interview. "We knew, okay, this is the day that we're going to do the test. Of course, we're going in for a blood test later that day, but we couldn't wait any longer."
The pair — who got married in November 2018, just two months after meeting one another — took a pregnancy test and then turned it face down during the waiting period so they could really experience the moment to the fullest. "We flipped it over,” Cameron said. “We saw the word pregnant, and that was just a huge moment to actually see the word pregnant on the test. It was a..." Lauren, 37, finished for her husband, “A relief.”
The Speed Brand CEO added, "Because, well, we've taken a few pregnancy tests and when you use the ones with the lines, it could be anxiety driven because it's like, 'Is that what I think?' So seeing the word pregnant, it was amazing. We just looked at each other. I fell to my knees and cried. It's been a long time coming. We've literally been trying to get pregnant for four years." She says that the feeling of finally getting that positive pregnancy test after all this time is nothing short of “indescribable.”
"I lost my father [at] Christmas of last year," Lauren revealed to the outlet. "And so we took this test [at] the end of January, beginning of February, so this was literally light in the darkness. This was like, wow. The spark that my whole family needed. We've been trying for a long time."
Despite her major loss at the end of 2024, it’s clear the reality star knows she has a support system in the sky. "It was a little bittersweet because my dad's not here physically to be with us, but we know that he's watching over us," Lauren explained. "So it was just like, 'Wow, I can't believe this.' We just felt so blessed, so grateful and happy, excited. Then it hit like, 'We're going to be parents. Oh my God.'"
As for how Cameron is handling the whole thing, fans will be happy to know that he’s just as great of an expectant father as you’d picture him to be. "He's just been so great, so patient and just awesome,” Lauren gushed to People. “I'm so blessed to have a partner like him.”
